What we make, and what is still in the lab

Alongside our synthesis services, we make products of our own: one available now, two formats on request, new molecules in development. Each is labelled with where it really stands.

CHON Chemical is a chemical-synthesis service company in Bangkok. FreshTrap, a 1-MCP sachet for post-harvest use, is the first product of our own. The work behind it (synthesis, verification, scale-up) is the same work we offer as services.

FreshTrap, our first product

FreshTrap 1-MCP sachet

Delays ripening and wilting of fruit, vegetables and cut flowers in sealed cartons, cold rooms and containers. Mist the sachet with water, seal, leave for 12–24 hours, then store and ship as usual.

FreshTrap tablet and powder

The same active ingredient, for treating a space as a whole rather than carton by carton. Supplied on request after we talk through your room or route with you.

Tablet: for a whole cold room.
Powder: for a whole container, before it leaves.
The dose depends on the sealed volume, the crop and the journey time — we set it with you.
